This notice describes how information is handled through the Baobab Advisory Services website. For questions about your information, contact office@consultbaobab.com.
When you contact us
The enquiry form lets you prepare a brief with your name, work email, company, optional job title and industry, area of interest and message. We use information you send to understand and respond to your enquiry. Please include only the details needed for that conversation.
When direct online submission is unavailable, selecting “Send request” passes your entries to your email application. You review and send that email yourself. Preparing or saving a brief does not submit it to Baobab.
If direct online submission is enabled, the information you submit is sent to our enquiry inbox through our email delivery provider, Resend. Your information is shared for the purpose of delivering and responding to the message.
Career enquiries
The Careers form lets you ask to hear about future opportunities using your email address. When direct submission is unavailable, clicking Notify me prepares a request for you to review and send from your own email application. If direct submission is enabled, the request is delivered to our team through Resend. We use the address you provide to follow up about career opportunities. You can ask us to stop contacting you by emailing our office.
Climate risk mapping
As you type an address in the climate risk mapping tool, search text is sent to our address-suggestion provider, Photon, to show matching places. Selecting a suggestion supplies the coordinates for that place. If you submit a manually typed address without selecting a suggestion, the address is sent to our address-search provider to find its coordinates. Coordinates are sent to public hazard, water and climate-data providers to prepare your results. Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap. Use public business locations and avoid confidential or personal addresses.
Location lookups and screening results may be cached in server memory for up to 24 hours. The tool does not maintain a stored address history. Hosting request logs may include address-search text. To enforce the two-assessment daily free limit, we keep a hashed IP identifier and a usage count for the daily allowance; the usage record does not contain your submitted locations. This allowance resets at midnight UTC. Address suggestions have a separate short-lived limit based on IP address to prevent excessive searches; they do not use your daily assessment allowance.
Information stored in your browser
This website does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics scripts. Fonts and branding assets are served with the website. Saving a copy of your brief creates a text file on your own device; the website does not upload that file.
Technical information
The service hosting the website may process technical information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to serve pages, maintain reliability and investigate errors. The website does not ask for access to your location, camera or microphone.
